Who's that scruffy face? It's Bonsai, our scruffalicious, shy-guy, snuggle monster of a puppy! Bonsai came from a situation with more dogs than people and is learning to trust humans. He realized very quickly that he enjoys getting human affection like pets and belly rubs. Being around other dogs helps Bonsai find confidence and get comfortable. After just a couple days in foster care, he already began seeking out his foster mom's attention and doling out puppy kisses. He's a sweetheart who needs a gentle, patient, loving home where he feels safe and he will surely continue to blossom into a wonderful dog! Bonsai would make an excellent family / first time dog, so long as everyone keeps in mind that he is still a pup. He's got that zany puppy play energy! His canine foster siblings are teaching him appropriate doggy manners, but puppies can be slow to learn when it's not all about fun and games. His future family should be ready to continue his socialization, obedience training, and potty training. Foster mom reports that Bonsai is quite smart and picks up on new things quickly. He's very treat and praise motivated, which helps immensely! Bonsai is a very curious critter and is eager to learn about the world around him. He loves exploring around the house and following his foster siblings throughout the day.
