Buddy is a charming 2 year old Beagle Lab mix who weighs 25 lbs. Our organization pulled him from a local shelter when he was young. At that time, he was experiencing tremendous anxiety being in a cage and the vet recommended a low dose of prozac for him. He still takes that low dose once a day in a pill pocket and the medication is $5 a month at Walgreens. The family who fostered him ended up keeping him because they fell in love with him. Unfortunately their young toddlers are teasing him now, particularly while he eats, and Buddy has snapped at them. So...Buddy is a sweet loving dog, who loves to sleep in bed with you and go for walks but is not good around small children. He can be left alone and does not destroy things, but he is terrified of cages because of his time in the shelter so would not do well crated. He has been living with one other dog and two cats and gets along fine with them. He is neutered, housebroken, and up to date on all medical. He just needs a home where he is one of the family.$100 tax-deductible adoption donation. If you are interested in learning more about this cutie, please contact the St. Francis Animal Protection Society at (408) 219-0752 or by email at info@stfrancisanimal.org Buddy will be in a foster home in San Mateo.
