Dolly was found in the bushes at an apartment complex, being abandoned by her owners. We picked her up and brought her to the vet and had her spayed, tested for disease and got her vaccinated. She has been in a foster home for about 2 months, adores other cats, sleeps on the bed next to her foster mom but is still very shy in terms of being touched. Gathers with the other cats in the morning to be fed, plays with her toys but is just hesitant of people. She is so precious and cute and we feel confident that she will come around in time, but she would thrive in a home with other cats. She is definitely not feral since she is always interacting with what is going on in the household as well as sleeping on the bed, so she just needs someone with patience. Her foster mom has accepted a full time job and is not home very much so she feels that Dolly needs more attention. If you would welcome her into your home, please contact the St. Francis Animal Protection Society at (408) 219-0752 or send an email to info@stfrancisanimal.org. She is currently in San Jose.
