They say there's someone out there, a perfect match if you will, for everyone. Chico believes this is true and so do we! Chico is an 8 year old, 5 pound, neutered male Chihuahua who is full of personality. He came to the shelter as a stray and is still learning how to be a house dog. Chico is the cutest little guy...we think he looks like a mini mutant Boston Terrier with his coloring and silly little snout! He also snorts like a five pound piglet as he walks along with his funny little legs. Chico's a bit stiff in his back legs - no big deal, he just takes glucosamine - but his foster mom gets a kick out of his little stiff-legged strut. She says he walks like a crab! Although he enjoys walks with his foster siblings, he usually poops out about halfway through and prefers to be carried the rest of the way. It's just so tough being a little old man! Another nice thing about Chico: he's pretty independent in the world of Chihuahuas. He's perfectly content to have his own space and just be in the same room as his person, but not right on top of them. He's affectionate, but not needy. He will quietly follow you around and observe what you're up to without getting in the way or demanding attention. In other words, he acts his age! If you're looking for a pint-sized cuddle buddy who loves to give kisses, then Chico is the Chihuahua for you!
