Hi, my name is Kahlo. I’m an adorable Chihuahua Corgi mix, only about a year and a half old. I look more like a big Chihuahua (with velvety Corgi ears), but I act more like a little Corgi - very sweet and social. In my book, nothing beats hanging out (at home or in public), riding in the car, or playing with my people - and the next door neighbors, and the kids across the street. I enjoy meeting small dogs and sometimes larger dogs too. I’d like to play with the cat, but she isn’t interested so mostly I just ignore her. I’m a little shy at first with new people, especially men. Once I get to know you, though, I’ll be your best buddy. I’m pretty clever and think dexterity challenges are great fun!  I’m a quick learner, too. I’m house trained, leash trained and crate trained (but I’d really rather not have to be in the crate), and I’ve learned a bunch of new commands like come, stay, and wait. Mostly I’m a very polite dog. A lot of the neighbors’ dogs bark a lot, but I don’t join in. I only bark when people I don’t know walk right by the house. I wait for an invitation before jumping into any lap and I almost never chew things that aren’t mine. One of my legs was injured a few weeks ago, but it doesn’t slow me down at all. In fact, I’m quite agile, and I love to dance when I feel happy.
