Hi I’m Jeffrey ‘Lil Dude’ Lebowowski. My foster pop named me after some guy in a movie and I kind of like it. I’m even beginning to answer to Jeffrey when I’m called. I’m still a puppy ~9 months old and I’ve had a rough start for a lil dude, I was found as a stray on the mean streets of Oakland and ended up in the shelter there, I didn’t like it there at all and was very scared. They didn’t think I’d get adopted being so scared of my surroundings, so they called the kind people at St. Francis Animal Protection Society and asked if they could “rescue me”.
My very cool foster family picked me up and brought me to my new home where I met my foster brother and sister, who I LOVE. I’m a little guy, only 10 lbs, and my brother and sister are BIG dogs; but that doesn’t scare me at all! What does scare me is not knowing if humans are my friends or if they are going to do something bad to me (I think someone in my young life wasn’t nice to me), but my foster family is giving me lots of love and affection and I am becoming more confident every day. I really do like people and am a real cuddle bug when I get to know you, which doesn’t take long.
I especially like sleeping on the couch with my Foster brother Mack and what I want most is to find my forever home. My ideal forever home would be one with other dogs to play with and learn from and two understanding humans who will not be mad at me when I make mistakes. I would really love to live with someone who wants to cuddle and let me sleep with them – but I am happy to sleep in a crate or on a dog bed too.
Oh yeah, if you are a fan of the movie the Big Lebowski. . .I wouldn’t mind having my own rug . . . but don’t feed me White Russians, they aren’t good for dogs.  Come meet me, I bet you’ll like me! The adoption fee for Jeffrey is $250, which includes all vaccines, spaying, and microchipping.
