Back in the day, you could say I was down on my luck. I didn't know it at the time, but now that I know, I don't ever want to go back.

I was an empty-nester teen mom, living on the streets with my people in their RV. And then they left. They took everyting they wanted and left me behind. I spent a few weeks chained to a fence before people who visited the area realized my people were gone for good. Thankfully, they left me food and water and called for help. It was a ruff time.

Thankfully, a human with St. Francis showed up for me one day. She was told I growled at someone, so she was a little slow to approach. But, I crawled slowly over to her to let her know I needed help. She unchained me from the fence, put a leash on me, and we hopped in the car. I was so relieved, I put my head on her shoulder on the car ride home.

My foster dad, Nathan, is teaching me everything I need to know about being a house dog. He's worked with me on leash, crate and potty training and taught me basic commands. I feel like I won the lottery...I went from sleeping in the dirt to playing with toys, going on walks, and snuggling with my foster human on his couch. Rags to riches. This must be what it's like to be Beyonce.

I’m a happy, curious, gregarious dog looking for an experienced owner who loves and understands me. Because I missed out on obedience school when I was little, I'd love it if we could go to training together. And, of course,   Belly rubbers encouraged.
