Won't you think about adopting me?
Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about him.
Winnie (aka Winston Senior) is 13 pounds of love and adoration! When his rescuer was trapping feral kittens (including his presumed offspring, Winston jr, Roxie, and Rosie), he asked to come with. The neighborhood thinks he was abandoned by previous his owners. He is very cuddly and affectionate, and has a loud purr. He asks for belly rubs and doesn't mind being handled or put in a carrier for vet visits.
Important: This cat is a courtesy post for an independent rescuer. We are unsure of his exact age but he is a senior. He has been neutered, vaccinated, flea treated, and dewormed. He tested positive for FIV, and will require a dental cleaning at some point. If you are interested in adopting Winnie or doing a foster-to-adopt to see if he is a good match for you, please submit an application and we will put you in touch with his rescuer.
For more information about adopting a cat with FIV, please refer to fivcats.com. FIV is only transmissible through very serious bite wounds, so there is almost no risk of transmission to other cats in a household. Most cats with FIV will not progress to a clinical stage. More likely than not, a cat diagnosed with FIV will go on to live a normal life.
