*Important* If you are interested in fostering to adopt Lily, please fill out an application at stfrancisanimal.org/info/adoption. Due to covid-19 concerns and social distancing, we may be unable to safely coordinate meet-and-greets with families at this time. Lily is a very affectionate and playful 5 month old pom/corgi/maltese super mutt. Lily is tiny but has lots of love to go around- she is a "velcro dog" and does not like to be left alone. She isn't destructive when left alone but does bark and whine excessively (crate training isn't going so great either). We highly recommend that her family should continue training to work on her seperation anxiety. Potty training is also a work in progress, but she's doing great so far! Her foster has been hard at work teaching her how to be a good puppy. Lily gets along well with other dogs, but barks at them on leash and has shown some resource guarding. She plays great with other dogs and would love to be part of a pack. She has grown up with cats but gets excited and chases them occasionally. Potential adopters should be aware that their resident cats might not find this fun. She has a thick medium-length coat that requires regular brushing to keep soft and untangled. Lily's perfect home would be someone with puppy experience or who is willing to commit to training classes with a professional. Because of her difficult puppyhood, we would not recommend her to a first time dog owner.
