This adorable critter is Alfie! One of our amazing volunteers saw him being turned into the San Jose shelter and intervened, taking him home with her instead. Just like that, Alfie managed to avoid the shelter system. He's never known anything but a warm home and love - his past owner was very sad to part with him, but thought it was in Alfie's best interest that he go to a home with more devoted people. So Alfie became a St. Francis dog and never looked back! He's super sweet, very happy, and loads of puppy-spirited fun. At about a year and a half, Alfie still has a good deal of energy and needs a home that will appreciate his exuberance, exercise him regularly, and place a high value on playtime. Alfie loves his person and bonds very quickly. He also gets along with his foster mom's cats, large dog, and other small foster dog! He's a snuggler, for sure, and would really like to curl up on the couch next to you for a movie night on the regular. This little guy is hoping he gets to be your adventure buddy! Alfie is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250. Please let us know if you'd like to meet him!
