St. Francis Animal Protection Society is a non-profit organization made up of volunteers
whose goal is to educate the public how to properly care for their pets, teach children
the importance of kindness towards animals, and to rescue and protect those animals
who are left helpless in the world.
We do not have a shelter and cannot take in an animal that you wish to surrender. We
can, however, help you find a safe, responsible home for your pet.
Foster families house rescued animals until they can be placed in permanent homes, and
we are always in need of new "Foster Homes". If you are interested in taking care of an
animal or volunteering for St. Francis Animal Protection Agency, please view our Contact Us page or our Volunteer Form. Most often, we seek foster homes for kittens rescued from industrial areas. They often need some socialization, and the rewards of seeing them "purr" for the first time cannot be described in words. We can provide you all medical care and any supplies, if you do not have any.
Although we are headquartered in the Bay Area of California, we hope that our efforts are
far-reaching and we want to be able to provide you information and resources for the area
that you live in. We have links here to other animal rescue groups and always welcome
information on new ones that we are not familiar with.
Please take a moment to go to our Success Stories Page in this site, and see some of the incredible animals and stories that have touched our lives during this past year.
