Natalie was the first kitty rescued from junkyard in SJ in late May 04. She was only a few weeks old at time of rescue, when we heard a kitten cry coming from an abandoned and window-less old vintage car at the junkyard. We looked in and saw Natalie alone and crying in the front seat in front of the steering wheel. We scooped her up and brought her to foster mom Emily right away. Emily bottle fed Natalie back ot health, and decided to keep Natalie as her own kitty.
We later found out that the abandoned car Natalie was "driving" contained a rare and very old engine worth $5000.00. |

Leo is an inquisitive 18 month old grey and white male kitty. This formerly-feral love bug was rescued, along with his feral kitty family from an industrial area near the SJ airport. After being separated from their mother in foster care, Leo took on the "protector" role and charged anyone who tried to get near his scared siblings. After two months of slow socialization and many hisses, Leo finally decided to be courageous and learn to like humans. Although he was originally the most feral, he was the first of his siblings to socialize and is now a lap cat. His foster mom, Nicole, decided to keep this gentle giant who now enjoys life indoors with her two other cats. Leo is the welcoming committee for the dozens of rescued adults cats and kittens who make their way through their home. He's always friendly and loves to gently play with the foster kittens. He also reassures the many trapped feral who pass through to let them know that they will be helped when he lies beside their traps at night before they head in to the vet or when they return from surgery. Leo is truly an inspirational success story! |

Pierre is a gorgeous, silky and very fluffy grey male kitten. He was rescued when he was 8 weeks old. He was born in the cab portion of an enormous, abandoned truck. All of his other 4 brothers and sisters (Yvette, Sophie, Lucy Lou and Henry) were also rescued there along with their mom, Juliet, who is currently in foster care. Pierre now lives in Los Altos with Laura and her orange cat, Cooper. Laura is now a foster mom with St. Francis, so Pierre gets to spend time with other foster cats (including his mom Juliet, who stayed with them for a while). |
